While in the studio with Splice, composer Michael Hewett was inspired to write a series of tracks inspired by the five elements of Ayurveda - Ether, Air, Fire, Water, Earth. Ayurveda is Indian classical medicine, dating back more than 6,000 years. In Sanskrit, “Ayur” means life and “Veda” means science or knowledge and is commonly translated as “science of life.” Since Ayurveda is inspired by the natural world, we can observe seasons, cycles of the day, phases of life, qualities, and the interaction of elements to help us understand our own internal rhythms and adapt accordingly. Ayurveda provides us with tools to balance our inner ecology with our outer ecology to create harmony.

In the Ayurveda tradition, all elements originate from ether. Ether moves to become air, air causes friction to become fire, fire becomes water as it becomes denser, water becomes earth as it coagulates. And so does Elemental Journey: Post Rock. Each track spawns from one another and are deeply interconnected to create a harmonious palate of sounds. Great for a nature documentary, a yoga class, a road trip, or to give your next track a sense of a cinematic journey, this pack is overflowing with timeless melodies and flowing rhythms that set you on a course of self-exploration. This music puts the listener in the mood of self discovery and reflection so drop these samples in your score during an emotional scene, a thoughtful montage, or as the backdrop to a spectacular drone shot. Go on the journey
