Founded in 2017 by the Southampton collective, FooR, after the group revitalised the infamous 'Pure Garage' compilation, the Garage Shared label has made it their mission to provide a platform for UK Garage producers of all shapes and sizes to release their music and develop as artists. Joined by fellow Southampton DJ, Bitr8 a year later, they launched sister label, GS Dubs. Together the labels released music from new UK Garage artists such as Soulecta, TuffCulture, Oppidan, Gemi, SHOSH and Prozak, as well as UK Garage legends including MC Neat, Matt Jam Lamont, and Mighty Moe, gaining support from some of the most well-known Garage DJs, producers and specialist radio shows in the scene. This support has helped elevate each artist's profile while also promoting the sound of UKG worldwide.
Soulecta has rapidly become among the most talked about names from the new generation of UK garage artists. His remix videos have amassed over 3 million views across social media. He has received support from some of dance music's leading tastemakers, including DJ EZ, Skream, Danny Howard, Jaguar, Conducta, and DJ Q. He has stacked up numerous mainstream radio plays across BBC Radio 1,1Xtra and Kiss FM and in May 2021, he released his debut collaboration album "Soulecta & Friends" which hit #5 on the UK Dance album chart.
Tuffculture, hailing from Birmingham, UK and a veteran of the UK Garage, is known for his unique and experimental style of UK Garage music. The producer and DJ has been integral to the scene's revival over the last five years and has worked closely with brands such as Garage Shared, Kiwi Records and Nuvolve Music. Heavily respected in the scene, Tuff Culture regularly receives support from radio DJs, including Jeremiah Asamiah, Toddla T and DJ Target, fellow UK Garage DJs, DJ EZ, Todd Edwards, Sammy Virji and more.
