Carmen Display was originaly conceived to be used for titling compositions and paragraph dropcaps in the design of a new edition of Prosper Mérimée’s classic book ‘Carmen’. Some years later it was further developed as a non-exclusive custom typeface for the American retailer of lingerie Victoria’s Secret.
