Rizoma Font Family
Rizoma is a contemporary typographic interpretation of Roman inscription letters. It aims to capture the elegance and confidence of the monumental alphabet of ancient Rome in a fresh and unpretentious new typeface. Rizoma’s streamlined approach was inspired by the stroke patterns demonstrated by Edward M. Catich in his book The Origin of the Serif, where he emphasises the primacy of everyday writing underlying imperial lettering. The result is an utilitarian and slightly constructivist type family of text and titling fonts, with six weights, and energetic cursive italics.
