Nero Alto was inspired by the calligraphic move of the Pompeian graffiti and the "Trajan Column" letterforms. The design of this typeface is structured around a sharp and geometric construction while being at the same time vernacular and slightly odd. Nero Alto is perfectly suited for display use.
