AT Scriptures Keops Display Font Family
Scriptures is a complex typeface family revolving around two sort of weights for each of its style. It is composed of two different styles: Memoriam, Keops.
Inspired by religious book covers found in the late XVIII but taking liberties in the overall shape design, it is not a simple revival of a late typographic era but a contemporary shot filled with paganism inspiration at elegant letter forms. Willing to take on the challenge of being both an handy tool for displayed words. The Keops’ design was thought to be a powerful dance between circular curves and straight sharp-strokes — stone cutted. Balancing between stern and elegant/plumpy shapes, this type-family still conserve some welcomed warmth when it comes to an intensive display usage. To extend its usefulness, when it comes to headlines display, the weight scales from within each glyphs, maintaining a strong presence from one font to the other and allowing some steadiness in layouts. Willing to be as useful on digital media as it would be on printed support, the overall family was designed in a thicker, taller way than its XIX° cousins. Allowing a surprisingly efficient way to overcome the reader in a series of typographic waves.
