Oreilly - Agile Transformation LiveLessons (Video Training): Four Steps to Organizational Change
by Jason Little | Released October 2012 | ISBN: 9780133155952

Implementing Agile is a huge organizational change, and it's difficult. Today's organizations are complex adaptive systems that will react in unpredictable ways when change is introduced. Some consider Agile as processes and tools while others consider Agile as a mindset. Organizations are far too complex to assume one path to agility is the right path for everyone. Jason Little has been in the software industry since 1996 and has been helping organizations adopt Agile practices since 2007 as a Scrum Master, Product Owner and Coach. In this video Jason will show you a 4 step model that will help you shape your path to business agility. In addition, this video talks about how to leverage the Lean Startup method even if your organization is not a startup. About the Author: Jason Littlehas over 17 years experience in the IT and software industry, and he has been using Agile practices since 2002. He is a licensed Management 3.0 trainer, Certified Scrum Professional, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and Microsoft Certified Professional, and he has been helping organizations adopt Agile practices as a coach and employee since 2008. Jason has spoken at multiple Agile Alliance conferences as well as Lean Software and Systems and numerous other events and conferences in North America and Europe. In 2012, he won the Lean Startup Machine weekend competition in Toronto and now mentors University of Waterloo MBA students on the art of Lean Startup. His approach to Agile is pragmatic, and he focuses on organizational change management and contextual common sense practices over following a particular methodology. Jason's experience extends from working in the trenches with teams to management and executives and recently has been working on sustainable organizational transformation by bringing Agile practices to HR, Change Management, and Learning and Performance teams.
